Emily L. Mosso
VP of Finance
Emily Mosso is the Vice President of Finance managing the company’s financial reporting, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and accuracy in financial statements. She oversees the accounting operations, including internal controls and budgeting, to support the company's financial integrity and operational efficiency, in addition to managing Castellum’s financial risks and leading the treasury functions. Ms. Mosso brings a wealth of experience and expertise to her role, boasting over 18 years of distinguished service in the finance and accounting sectors. She began her career at Ernst & Young, where she honed her skills in public accounting over eight years. During her tenure, Emily developed a deep understanding of complex financial systems, compliance standards, and revenue recognition principles. She managed teams of over 20 staff, auditing the government contracting and hospitality sectors. Her dedication and keen analytical abilities quickly set her apart as a reliable and insightful professional in the industry. Additionally, Emily was one of the original members of the Women’s Network within Ernst & Young.
Following her successful tenure at Ernst & Young, Emily transitioned into the aerospace and defense sector, where she spent the last decade as a Controller, serving the U.S. Government as a contractor. In this role, she oversaw financial operations, managed multi-million dollar budgets, and played a crucial part in strategic decision-making processes. Emily was instrumental in implementing internal controls and aligning the company's practices with the latest revenue recognition standards. She holds both a Bachelor’s degree in Business and a Masters of Accounting from the College of William and Mary and is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), which underscores her commitment to maintaining the highest standards of professional excellence.
